Labourer

Dirtworks Division

There is opportunity for growth and training within the company.

 

Competitive wage based on experience.

Job requirements/description:

  • Digging trenches, raking, shoveling and spotting

  • Assist with pipe work

  • Safely operate or learn to use various small construction tools

  • Other labouring duties as required and assigned

  • Able to work safely around heavy equipment

  • Keep a clean and safe work site

  • Willingness to travel

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Good physical stamina; capable of working long hours on your feet

  • Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract

  • Strong math skills and attention to detail

  • Motivated, able to follow direction and execute jobs efficiently

  • Work well with others as part of team or independently on own, as required

  • Punctual, reliable with good attendance 

  • Excellent communication skills

 

Not required but considered an asset:

  • Experience with operating skid steer and/or excavators

  • Ability to read plans, specifications or drawings and manufacture according to the drawings and measurements

Cabinet Maker

Woodworks Division

There is opportunity for growth within the company, and opportunity for apprenticeship as Cabinetmaker (Joiner).

 

Competitive wage based on experience.

 

Job requirements/description:

  • Preparation, assembly, delivery, installation and finishing work of Woodwork and Cabinetry for residential and commercial projects.  

  • Operate millwork machinery and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components

  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics

  • Maintain a clean, organized worksite

  • Travel to and from the jobsite to obtain measurements and execute installs. 

  • Adhering to all workplace safety protocols, including COVID-19 protocols

  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment (e.g. Eye / Hearing protection, etc.)
     

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 graduate or equivalent

  • 2-3 years experience in woodworking environment

  • Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract

  • Strong math skills and attention to detail

  • Motivated, able to follow direction and execute jobs efficiently

  • Work well with others as part of team or independently on own, as required

  • Punctual, reliable with good attendance 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to lift and carry cabinetry parts or large panels as required (50+ lbs)
     

Not required but considered an asset:

  • 2nd or 3rd Year apprentice

  • Experience with operation of CNC woodworking machines

  • Ability to read plans, specifications or drawings and manufacture according to the drawings and measurements

  • WHMIS 2015
